A reminder about the "césure" period :

Upon justified request, an uninterrupted period of up to one year may be taken once only.
The "césure" must be part of the doctoral student's professional, study or personal project.
During the "césure", the doctoral student completely suspends his or her research work.
The "césure" takes effect at the beginning of the semester.
It must take place before the second semester of the 3rd year of the full-time equivalent thesis.

- If the doctoral student benefits from funding dedicated to the preparation of the doctorate, the "césure" requires the agreement of the funding organization and the employer.
